Parametric Design and Numerical Investigation of Hydrodynamic Characteristics of a New Type of Armour Block TB-CUBE Based on SPH Method

Based on the open-source code DualSPHysics, a numerical model was conducted to simulate regular wave transformation slope breakwater with artificial block, and simulation results were verified according measured data from physical experiment. The deviation between less than 6% 9% in run-up overtopping, respectively, which demonstrated can reliably capture evolution an block. this model, size of block adjusted obtain optimal wave-damping effects. Once obtained, hydrodynamic characteristics optimized new TB-CUBE further studied, effects slope, water depth front breakwater, incident period, height all analyzed. Finally, empirical formula for type article suggested through data-fitting, correlation coefficient is 0.981.
